What’s winter in Miami like? Hot! Very hot! And Wynwood is steaming up, becoming Miami’s freshest cultural hub. Just in the past week, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Tobey Maguire stopped by Panther Coffee, which has become the meeting point of Wynwood. With movie stars dropping in and production studios abounding, it’s no surprise that A-List Hollywood director, Michael Bay is in Wynwood shooting a Victoria’s Secret commercial.

Production, led by MAPs Production House, began yesterday and continues til tomorrow with the shoot taking place in a few production spaces. You may even get to catch a glimpse of an “Angel” on the streets of Wynwood, as they use the street art and murals as a backdrop. Wynwood real estate pioneer, David Lombardi, of Lombardi Properties says, “production and music is coming on strong here,” recognizing the increase of filming in the neighborhood. “We’re seeing fashion shoots in the neighborhood almost everyday now.” Major filming will continue tomorrow with Invicta Watches in association with ShopNBC. They will be broadcasting from Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood during the Second Saturday Art Walk.
